Do the bartman

That has nothing to do with anything, but it was on my mind, so I said it. Fun how that works isn't it?

So I'm taking my first official vacation tomorrow (and tuesday) (some of you may remember how I didn't get any vacation last year due to odd and irritating policies). Regardless, these two days are this year's start. The plan is to get lots of stuff done around the house. I suspsect we should be successfull.

The plan is also to save money by not having to drive to worrk. Saving those few gallons of gas are like getting a free lunch. Spiffy really.

Umm, not much else to report, I should probably get going and go and do the work thing while I still can, but i'm ready for the weekend to start already.

Beyond the weekend, its definetly spring. We've gotten our herbs all planted, and they're doing well - though we'll have to see if any of the neighborhood cats will go and eat them. They definetly liked the cilantro last year, but there isn't any thing time, so maybe we'll be in the clear. Might have to put a cat repellant on them or something, not that I know what that would be anyway, but I'm sure something exists.

Just for an FYI, here's some info on color trends of cars in the US: http://37signals.com/svn/archives2/color_trends.php

durian milkshake

it was bound to happen. the vietnamese restaurant we usually go to has a menu of drinks. I usually try and be boring, and get bubble tea. (Though you may recall the coffee bubble tea I got once which was quite potent) regardless, they also have a durian milkshake. We got takeout, so I felt adventurours. They packaged it in its own bag. I think this was a good idea.

I'm not sure about the flavor, because it pretty well smelled like garlic, mixed with some general garbage, much as CHL described it. I think that since it was a drink, the texture of the fruit was lost. I had like 2 sips and then threw it out. Oh well, maybe I'll try the actual fruit sometime, but I think I've gotten my fill of milkshakes for the next few decades.

should get going

i should get going, but i've been neglecting this, so i'm going to add a bit now, while i can.

there's exciting stuff in cleveland lately. everyone's favorite mega media conglomerate clear channel has decided to put up electronic billboards as a pilot. they're busy showing ads for things like the rock hall, but then suposedly they'll make money off them. i dono if that's true, but they are kinda interesting, though they don't look electronic at first glance. (probably since they can't show moving text and such, due to regulations)

otherwise, not much happening around here. I know there's other things, but i can't remember them. its spring. i think. so i need to take off my snow tires this weekend. due to late snow and wanting to wait until the potholes got more fixed to save my summer rims, its been delayed a few weeks.

oh, i was just thinking how nice it is that the weather here changes. if gives you permanantly something dumb to talk about with people (like vendors) you have nothing in common with. i wonder what people in places with no weather do. i also think i may have mentioned this in an entry a while ago, but with 500 of them, i can't keep track.

on timeness

it must be the warm weather or something, but i'm actually on time. this is quite noteworthy. Of course to continue the trend I need to leave now, so i'm not all rushed, so i'm going to do that.

But otherwise things are cool. very maylike. is maylike a word? eh.

say something, anything.

i've been meaning to say something on here, but have been oddly busy. with spring attempting to exist, its been time to deal with the new grill, mow the lawn, and clean up stuff outside.

i supose this isn't a bad thing, but it certainly takes up time from other things. oh well.

speaking of taking up time, i need to leave now. but at least i have a leftover krispy kreme for breakfast. mmmm. ok really i have 2 of them. double mmm.
