for those of you that don't know, I believe in 3 stages of chickendom. 1. chickens running around. 2. chickens packaged in a grocery store. 3. just before easter, chicks.
The point being, no where in the middle should I have to worry about how said chicken got from point 1 to point 2. (point 3 only exists once a year, so I don't worry about that) Why on earth can't the stupid kosher chicken people figure out how to get rid of all the feathers on a chicken? The place at the market, which is like one guy, his sons and some random people don't seem to have a problem with this, but neither Empire nor Aarons can do it. After even cleaning it a bit last night, then cooking it, the Aarons chicken came up with a zillion more feathers once it was cooked when the skin shrunk. I'm not eating feathers (Instead we went out for steak.)
Argh.
Anyway, sorry for the slow updating. making lunches for passover has really gotten into my mornin schedule so I don't have all that much extra time in the morning, but next week should be better.
so its passover. which means busy stuff, but to keep interest, the honeymoon location:
Las Vegas.
We have 4 nights there, and no other plans yet (like a hotel) so opinions are welcome as well as suggestions.
Off to eat Matzah.
Ok. So It was bound to happen, and I've finally seen it. Someone stopped next to me had 4 rubber braclets. 2 on each wrist. I'm not sure why she stopped there, because really, there has to be lots more then 4 things she was supportive of. Maybe they need to switch them to charms, so you can start with the basic livestrong one, and then hang off anything else you need, something like little small braclets. I suppose the people who make the rubber bands for braces could supply such "charm" bracelets. it'd work out well. and then people would instantly have more options, and not need to choose at all.
In the spirit of Cinco D Mayo (which according to the mexican beer display at the grocery store is 05.05.05 this year, which is kinda funny, and I'm not sure why a beer display needed to remind me of this, but whatever) I'm offering a quiz. Its also in the spirit of the old ones I did like 2 years ago, but that's less timely then 05.05.05
I just purchased the tickets for our honeymoon, now you can start guessing where. I'd offer more info, but you know, if i offer too much I'll give it away. I may wait a day or two to tell, since some people seem to only read every few days, and it'd be sad to leave them out of this, since I'm a total slacker and only blog every few days anyway.
start guessing!

Sad when this is all I have to blog about today. Well ok, not really, but after going out to BW-3s, I'm just tired and want to go to sleep. Clearly my taste for going out is limited when 1 1/2 beers only reminds me of how tired I was when leaving work to begin with. Though they did have pilsner urquell and blue moon on tap, which were both good, so I'm not complaining.
Odd of course that Helen and I both have almost the same score. And here everyone thought I talked funny, aparently its the same funny as other people. I suppose the rest of the Southern Dutchess crowd should take the test and see if there's a real pattern.
So I was planning on going swiming yesterday afternoon. Of course that got nixed because realizing it was April 13th, and life is pretty busy today and tomorrow, at least if I want to deal with taxes before midnight on friday, so I had to do them. yech.
I'm also mad at Cleveland, because while its nice and beneficial for people who work in the city, but live in the suburbs, the local income tax that I pay to mentor isn't fully credited by cleveland, so I have to pay another 1% to them. Yech. Wouldn't it make sense to actually encourage people to live here and work outside the city by giving them full credit? Aparently they'd rather just grub money from people I think.
Well, so with that annoyance dealt with, its time to go to work. I'm attempting to get back to being timely, so I need to leave now and get going. (Not that I'm actually perfectly on time, but it is a definite improvement over the past few days, hence I had time to deal with this).
About it from here I think.
I need to get going, but felt obligated to post something.
something.
Nothing much happening, went to the passover cooking demo yesterday night, it was good. Have a bunch of things to do this weekend, but its all little errands and such.
Odd how you make one order from Bean and then get the sale catalog with the order (they sent a replacement order for the one that got lost, and who knows where, it arrived wednesday) anyway, so get the sale catalog, and then order more stuff. I just hope since this order is coming ground probably it actually gets here. Its a bit of an extra mystery to the whole thing.
Other then that, yay for friday, yay for it being payday and I need to get going...
I guess the long entry went over well. As some of you know I was sick today, which seems to have gotten better by avoiding work. Hopefully I won't feel like crap all weekend.
So the fools of the day - Fedex. I haven't heard anything from them, so I called Bean. Who is just sending out a new package. I figured I had nothing to lose (new package is not coming ground, and is coming on Wednesday, so only say 8 days after the old one...) so i called fedex. They know absolutely nothing. I also had to explain the situation to the customer service person again. Since aparently they're incapable of communicating even between their customer service people. She figured out what was up, so said she'd call the Depot. Guess what. Its closed. At 6:30. I've given up, since I have a new package. The old package can sit on the porch if it wants, since I still do feel sorry for the person its supposed to go to, but its not my responsibility beyond reporting it to go drop it off at their house.
Stellar service really, when you even ignore your own customer service people for 3 days and then are closed.
And as far as the USPS, they tend to take about 10 days to ship anything that's not priority 500 miles from NY. If its priority, it takes like 4 days. Though at least they pay attention to the address on the package. I suppose 10 days is better then needing to get it resent and taking another 8 days after the original date.
