mondays!

well so i was discussing taxes with chris, and blah, its put me in a bad mood, as i haven't dealt with mine. stupidness, and you know it would have been easier if they just got handed to the accountant like they always did, but for some reason mommie didn't do that, which indirectly is my fault too, but whatever.

on other stuff that's annoying me, i have a case writeup due tomorrow morning. blah! so i should get started on that.

i'm also a day behind in blogging.

it snowed today.

what else? eh, that's about it.

i cooked spaghetti and gimme lean, mitch ate half of it. he didn't seem to think it was all that scary. i was depressed, not that it is scary, but you know. in theory.

hrm, what else. i didn't call medtronic in CA or MA because i didn't have time and i figured i could give them a day or two. they didn't get back to me, but i'm not worried yet, it just would have made me happier to have a response.

i think i'm addicted to my lint brush. i dono if that's a bad thing. its kinda fun to use, even though i swear it always takes off tons more lint then i thought the shirt had. and its not amazingly environmentally friendly.

i only slept for 1 1/2 hours today. maybe i should have made it a 5 hour nap. it was compfy.

i think i've managed to nearly run out of food, short of the milk i bought, so i can subsist on cereal and english muffins, which is odd, as of course i went shopping on friday.

baseball season started today. i don't know if i'm supposed to care.

i think i'll expend my effort on writing the case and trying to get to sleep. before it becomes a bad april's fools joke.

on the upside, we got back a stat assignment, i managed to get 78/80, i guess the ones i bother to do do well. go figure?

entry backlog

ok, so i need to get an entry. but i can't type very well, as i seem to have burned my right pinky getting my slightly freezer burnt pretzels out of the toaster.

this is bad, i don't like burning my pinky. and maybe at some point i'll use it for typing.

so they're muttering about final 4 stuff. i think chris should care about marquette getting in, didn't his sister go there last summer? or is she going there now? i'm all confused. oh, look the orangemen are there too. i love watching the news, they seem to make everything obvious, like i knew who was in. ahem, if you know that i check on other stuff, why do you make the damn weather the last thing you do?

stupid burning pinky.

(by the time the suggestions showed up for the catci the thorns had somehow stopped being an issue, i guess they got themselves out)

ways to heal pinky.
1. miss class tomorrow
2. apply shreds of stupid cactus and hope it doesn't realize its not aloe
3. go to sleep. now.
4. apply to more jobs. and then cross my fingers i'll get a call or an email
5. eep, this hurts, for no good reason, its just my damn pinky!
6. ok, i was going to write another update for monday, but i'll do that in the middle of the day, since seriously, my stupid finger hurts enough to make it a pain to type (but in the scheme of things not very badly at all, don't worry)

damn homework

yeah i'm late updating. sue me. not like you'll get very far.

i'm busy trudging through my homework, one of my groupmates kludged something together after some thursday night libations. it seems to be not to bad, we'll see how we do though. not like he cares, as he has a job from accenture.

right, i should finish this. as i've been ignoring it for a few hours.

umm, so i helped mitch report carl (his cactus) now my fingers have those small spiney things in them that i can feel, but can't get rid of. rather annoying.

i finished my homework, though i haven't yet applied to medtronic, i need to get doing that. blah.

uhh, i dono what i'm going to do for the rest of the day, i'll update that as i get around to it i guess. probably removing my cactus thorns.

thorn removal suggestions:
1. belt sander
2. micro tweezers
3. loofa? i know what they are, but they seem scary. and affeminate
4. silly putty

not 4am

as i ended up going to sleep at about 4, i figured i'd try and sleep a bit earlier tonight. i think the lack of a 5 hour nap should work wonders, since i'm already tired. very exciting i know.

i tried to get my tires back, which ended up in my calling the assistant prosecutor who is in charge of the case, surprise of surprises, he didn't call me back. nor did medtronic. damnit, i need to decide when i should give up and just apply to these jobs. i hate applying. i hate writing cover letters too.

the snappeas were original, i wanted to get caeser, but they didn't have any. i was very sad, but managed, though as i went back today to get my stupid non-moldy pitas i avoided temptation and didn't get another bag. i was proud of myself, though then i bought a bunch of buncha-crunch at blockbuster oops.

i saw road to perdition with mitch, it was pretty good, nothing too amazing, but a good way to spend 2 hours, since as i realized after getting back from beachwood (all we did was mitch got sneakers and i got 2 slices of pizza), crud, i can't remember what i was realizing, oh yeah, the usual thursday hanging out with val would be cancelled, as she is flying to chicago and back tomorrow for a job interview, and leaving at 7:15 doesn' t usually encourage hanging out the night before, unless of course its mardi gras, that was a special ocasion.

uhh, not much else to report. i was pondering making meatloaf tomorrow. i dono if that's a scary idea or not, but since it'd be easy to get ground beef, lamb and veal, all of which would work together quite nicely, i think it could be good. or it could be a blue plate disaster. eep. views? of course it depends if something better looks better.

what else, uhh not much really. i'm tired. that's not news. i need to figure out the next time i'll be in ny, but yes, going to sephora seems to work fine. though i did see today 5th ave from 49th and until tiffany's had sporadic people lying in the middle of it to protest the war. that can't be good for shopping.

ways i should protest the war:
1. why would i protest i can't decide if i'm against it or for it
2. by not voting in the next election again
3. by moving to a state where my vote might actually matter
4. by eating more french food, because as a good british person said, don't blame the poor blokes in the restaurants
5. buying south african wine. suposedly it tastes even more like dirt then french reds, sorta like someone extinguished a cigarette in it.
6. getting a new binary t-shirt that says war sucks, so no one can understand it, or ask, like my other two binary shirts
7. finally buying some new sneakers of my own, and not getting annoyed that beachwood doesn't have a normal sneaker store because its too snooty.

UPDATE: You know its spring when the plaid all-stars make their debut! and you know you haven't known me well enough if you don't know what that means.

Sleep schedules

so i got back from class on time this morning, after doing a status update, which i vaguely knew about, and was based on an agenda i had to get from my groupmate on my way up to the podium and hadn't seen before. it was very reassuring though i think it went well, in any case the return, which was about 10:15 (had to stop for mcdonalds, i got an egg mcmuffin (without meat, as i didn't know if it was bacon or sausage or ham, i figured without meat would cover all bases, i'm just not up on mcbreakfasts) and a hash brown. it was good, but got me thinking about english muffins, so i went and got some when i went to wal-mart with mitch). oh right, i was explaining what i did. so i got back, and napped. until 3:30. at which point i went to the gym. then we got tacos at chipotle (well mitch got a burrito, but i had one monday, so i tried the tacos, nothing too exciting). i think it was a productive day. but it could explain my being awake still. (we went to the spider at like 10, and listened to some guitarist who babbled about other muscians we should know and how he met them, and his cd was played at the same time, etc.. we didn't really pay enough attention, but i think it was ok)

speaking of walmart, mitch commented his stuff was expensive, i looked at the pile on the belt (i think it was 5 bags once packed) and said eh, $37. it totalled $37.65 and he wasn't even impressed. (his guess was $40, after i said $37)

i fixed the random insulation creep on my phone again, it got me looking at tools. do'h. this isn't a good thing. i think i also somehow left a piece of random stuff on the screen, so that should get dealt with at some point. whatever.

why are we blowing up mountains?

and since we're on a times kick, we should all discuss old style drinks (besides the damn harvey wallbanger)

uhh, about it for the excitement. i'd try drawing, but everything i do ends up looking like a bad engineering assignment. i think i'll try to read more tomorrow and friday, not like i'm realistically going to do homework, and its not a huge activity for me to trackdown the medtronic person, since i'm sure it'll go no where anyway! wahoo.

tools i should get next (this i'm sure will be especially popular with the female crowd)
1. more really small bits
2. a good hammer
3. none, job first stupid head
4. another toolbox so everything fits
5. a topic that somehow is interesting to everyone
6. none, i have too little space anyway at the moment
7. play darts with the wiha catalog and just find out
8. more amusing stuff from sephora
9. something to automatically do my stat homework. damn stat.

i have another law class at 9:30 so i guess i should be getting to sleep. i don't even know what its on.

Food

Well so I was snacking again (which ended up being the bag, oops, but no surprise) on Snapea Crisps, I found them at trader joe's, they're starchy baked things, full of green peaness. We ate them on the train on the way to nyc.

mitch couldn't find the pepper mill because it was in my room. i'd feel sorry, but there was a thing of ground pepper in shareef's cabinet (which aparently reefi forgot about as mitch asked him) as well as 2 backup pepper mills in another cabinet. and it was for the steak that i bought for him on friday anyway. he said it tasted good.

i cut up some more of the (eww, i know) lox from the CA trip. its so good, i really need to eat more of it, but i'm just not satisfied with most cleveland bagels, its very problematic, and discourages lox consumption.

who knew so many people cared about pontiacs? i actually think GM could create something quite cool, mostly because bob lutz will do randomly crazy things. The CTS for instance seems to be quite popular, val likes it a ton (wouldn't surprise me if she got one if she gets a good job type likes) and whatever else mainstream but not could do well. As far as honda boring, vw's are pretty far on the quality index, they're below average, and that huge (current) fiasco on ignition coils for the 1.8T engine doesn't exactly inspire confidence on vw's ability to fix problems, but i do see a kabillion of them around.

aparently now i need to see 8 mile so i understand the point of the song, but i'm too busy, so i'll update when i see it in a month, or months, or a year. i'd put an update on this day for next year, but that'd mess up the calendar system.

uhh what else. not much, i called medtronic, left a message with mary kay, i'll check again tomorrow i guess, maybe i should email to follow up instead of nagging if i fail tomorrow? i also need to do a damn presentation in class. blah. but it seems much later then it actually is.

i'm not feeling amazingly creative. ways to improve my creativety.
1. read a book
2. hire someone to be creative for me
3. start car style arguments
4. dart board typing
5. try that random google search thing
6. ask for suggestions that will never happen
7. ignore creativity, find a job
8. eep, wasn't creativity due last week?

Mmm Donuts

There's a Dunkin Donuts ad on tv. it made me think of them.

my meeting with dale was unproductive, but not useless. Hopefully calling medtronic tomorrow will prove useful.

Bob dole was on the Late Show (hosted by Paul Shaffer) and paul asked him if he had bought any duct tape. he said he had some left over from WWII.

That Visa Check Card ad was on tv again. It made me think of walter and I standing in the subway station, waiting for our train when the operator of the wrong train stuck his head out the window and yelled 'Yo, there's no A train today' (in a thick brooklyn accent) it was very NY, and I don't think jen mentioned it. (as she was off shopping anyway)

Cat Power is on the late show. she looks like cousin IT combined with some Kurt Cobain grunge, but sounds like your average angry female singer/songwriter. its very confusing, and i bet i'm not getting the point because i'm not listening to the lyrics, i'm more amazed at how her bangs cover her eyes.

well no responses to yesterday's (the day before, whatever) quiz. hrmph. oh wait, this is hrmph. damn i'm out of words.

update on cat. she sounds like she smoked a bunch and is trying to cover it up, she's got this airy broken voice. somehow i bet everyone already knew who she was, but i live in case western reserve bubble, so bear with me.

i'm glad the dave barry link is amusing. its one of the better things to come off /. recently. nothing like behind the scenes oscar stuff

best thing about the GM ad comparing a pontiac grand am SE to a Jetta GL
1. Pontiacs are neither cute nor trendy
2. Who cross shops those? Cute + trendy people whose parents want them to buy american?
3. they forgot the grand am has 4 times the body roll, it makes up for losing in torque and hp
4. because none of you reading this care
5. there is no number 5 (he's no longer alive)

another

look, its another entry.

ok, so my brain's full.

wait, empty.

this looks like a blue man group thing.

yes i know some of you haven't seen them.

you should.

i know its expensive.

we'll work on it.

so umm i can't think of anything else to discuss, yay for chicago, i'm just puzzled at eminem winning. and i'm confused as how a hospital can sponsor a news report.

tomorrow's my meeting with dale. we'll see if that gets me a job.

i didn't do my group's homework, but none of them did it either. we'll see.

i'm going to sleep, and get irritated over 'weapons of mass destruction' stupid phrases of the month club.

belated sundae

so yeah i meant to update. shoot me. its still the correct day.

it was a good weekend, on the topic we went to the ben + jerry's scoop shop (aparently this is a new thing in OH i didn't think for obvious reasons they're anything special) and i got a brownie sundae. it was good.

hrm, what else. i got some afri-cola... its good for morning wakeups.

at the same store (cost plus world market) i got mitch the special 5 pack of old special hen. (the 6th one fell when the bag broke, stupid cheap bags)

what else. not much. we ended up going to fridays. i'm not sure why. there weren't any other better options. its sad. i need to get out of here.

penalty for delay of writing entry:
1. everyone must wait 2 hours until the next one
2. penalty for thinking of penalizing readers instead of writer
3. forced to work at polyone
4. wearing un-inspected underwear for a week. damn chafing
5. forced to drive a neon
6. forced to miss the first 2 hours of the ocars. oops. too late.

friday flippitude

i'm not sure if that's a word, but whatever.

no one responded to my query on the naming. how sad.

its late, i'm tired, i should write this quickly.

pepband adam's MINI got pelted by hail, its sad, and has acne

i had dinner with jen. it was good, we had lamb, i lint roll'd the sheep to make them happy and not glare so much. if that fails i figure i can sleep with them under the bed. there's plenty of room for disgrunteled stuffed numbered ovines. (look that up if necessary).

nothing else too exciting today. we got digital cable sorted out, which means we have a digital box in the living room, which gets a zillion channels, but only has digital sound on HBO, sorta a crock. i haven't had much time to watch, (since i got the box right before i went shopping) but mitch and reefi are playing super nintendo, so doesn't seem like its entertaining enough to keep their excitement up.

i guess we're going for slate blue and deepest red, i'll get around to ordering one or two on sunday, no sense in ordering when they can't get shipped in time anyway.

i dono where to go to dinner tomorrow:
1. olive taco
2. fridays
3. bahama breeze (i think its open...)
4. tony roma's
5. little italy
6. hell, for suggesting so many chains
7. quizno's
8. are there any good non-chain places i've eaten in cleveland? (sushi rock?)
9. ok, enough suggestions this one can just be none of the above. (aka mozarella sticks at a diner)

ooh friday

well, so i've stayed up a bit late, but whatever. anyway i'll answer some questions that have come up.

grum's is a sub shop, that's on conventry (near the bars i hang out at on thursday nights) its not amazingly good, its 26 years old, and they don't seem to have cheanged the menu since then. everything has this onion taste, even if you don't order onions, and the bread's kinda stale. but its better then subway, and mitch likes it, and its way closer then quiznos.

i was polled as to what the 'offensive' name of operation enduring freedom was, but i didn't have time to look it up, anyone remember? it was something relegiously offensive...

i did dishes today. i also tried to do laundry, but ran out of time because i ended up doing other stuff until 2, which didn't leave me enough time to do the laundry. but i didn't have any dryer sheets anyway, so i asked val for 2. which she brought (i seem to have lost them... need to fix that) cable is finally fixed as well, which is nice. i tried to get dryer sheets at the co-op, mitch suspected they would be made out of cucumbers, they just didn't have any. i was depressed, even if the liquid softener is better, it just doesn't work well with a commerical washer, too much planning involved. anyway, so more dishes and laundry tomorrow. very exciting.

helen got a job! yay. now i just need to follow suit. blech!

mitch says we're going to do stat tomorrow. we'll see.

not much else to report, except that killian's is the beer of the month at jillians again, which is good news, and bad that it doesn't go well with the sunmaid cranberries, which in their own right aren't very good anyway, craisins are much much better. (in the event you were wondering)

who knew everyone liked sushi? well, almost everyone...

i've never had unagi. i think there's an obvious reason why, but i'll take everyone's word for it. and i bet its much better then salmon skin. otherwise i can't really decide which i like best... they are all quite good.

today's the first day of spring! yay. how sprungy.

i need to order something from bean, i was thinking of a polo shirt or two..
colour suggestions?
1. random sale stripey blue
all the rest are here:
2. deepest red
3. slate blue
4. dusty olive
5. sky blue (nearly replaces the one i have with a rip)
6. some other color
7. something else from bean?

not blah

well so jen came over and we went to sushi rock for their 1/2 sushi night. (handily jen is an expert at this, so procured reservations and such) minus like a 45 minute wait to get food after we ordered, (not their fault the place is packed with such a sale) it was very good. except for the salmon skin roll. which tasted like salmon skin, which was about as gross as you'd expect. i'm not sure why i thought it would be good.

anyway, so including one full-priced salad, 2 free beers (sapporo and kirin) (because they made us walk upstairs thinking they had a free table, then had to say no, we lied) and 12 rolls/nigiri it was all of $35 total. not exactly a bad deal. we've agreed to go back on another night when its not busy so we can get the green tea ice cream, and some of the more 'non-traditional' stuff, like tempura rolls. (yeah i know half of you dislike tempura, get over it, most of you dislike sushi as well)

on unrelated news, i do agree its sorta a crappy day, but you know i'm not sure if i've decided my view on this war thing. it doesn't amazingly affect me, besides some rather annoying security measures, because cleveland thinks its important. (i was happy that we got out of nyc the day before the security alert went back up to orange...) its generally annoying, but overall i'm a very standard desensatized american with regard to this war thing.

i have band and yoga tomorrow. it should be exciting. as i didn't do anything athletic today, it'll be good to get back in the swing of things, and yoga's a good place to start.

other then that, today was uneventful, i was in a crappy (but better then yesterday) mood until jen showed up, though i did do the case writeup in time, and did laundry, which cut down on clutter. must do more of that tomorrow.

sushi rock was cool, except they only had the damn light soy sauce. its like watered down, not as if i care about how much salt i have anyway, i think i drank 4 glasses of water, in addition to the 2 beers (jen didn't finish hers)

favourite type of sushi: (in traditional japanese of course, (i gave jen all the useful tips on japanese food chl gave me, but i did give credit as necessary... mmm chopstick rest)
1. tobiko
2. unagi
3. tekka
4. tamago
5. kartofel
6. inari

Blah

I think I already titled one of these Blah! but note this doesn't have a !.

So I went to class today, and did nothing, which wasn't remarkable, but dale said NS didn't have any positions, and he'd forward the email that said this (he hasn't done that yet, but whatever) he then said he wanted to talk to me about my progress on finding a job, so that's scheduled for monday. yay. or something

so since i felt crappy with that happy news, i pondered shopping, which failed as i went grocery shopping yesterday, and otherwise buying stuff didn't work, so i ate, but wasn't hungry, so i took a shower and tried to play more video games, but played awfully, so now i'm writing this. exciting isn't it?

i didn't do anything else in class today, except got a nice list of random contacts in the harddrive industry for our stupid project, so yay! i can cold call people! one of my most favourite hobbies! ugh!

i did do some dishes today, so at least that was progress.

i can't think of anything else amazingly worthwhile today, it was just blah, and then got crappier with bad news at the end of class. so now sleep. at least class is cancelled tomorrow morning, (though i think we need to take a trip to canton, which is like a 4 hour activity with driving and such) so i can not look forward to that sometime.

flavours gobstoppers really should be:
1. plastic
2. sleep
3. nonsensical
4. orange
5. yellow
6. earwax
7. elderberry
8. car wax. speaking of which i need to do that sometime.

oh i guess to continue the non-productiveness, i called the detective about the 'missing' snow tires, he never got back to me. perhaps that will happen tomorrow, and mitch slept through class this morning, and didn't bother to wakeup for the cable guy who showed up at 11:34, (i got back from class at 11:40) so now that's postponed again until thursday. so much fun!

Posted by stryder at 12:12 AM
March 18, 2003
yay unproductiveness

well, so i was going to talk more about the ny trip, but i don't see the point anymore. it was fun, enough said.

do people want the day by day summary of vegas? i meant to do it earlier, figuring it would be interesting, but then got sidetracked.

i dislike how my layout looked stupid when there was only one entry on the front page, i guess i should stick to updating frequently. it was just meant to be and everyone is happy.

the cable is dead, but they will fix it on wed, or so they say.... in any case i rigged up a coathanger as an antenna in my room, so i can at least get networks. perk of big city life i guess. stupid broadcast is sorta boring though.

i went food shopping. it was uneventful, about like the 4 hour nap i took this afternoon. i'm just not in the mood for school stuff, hopefully i'll have good luck with the NS job lead thing, i can ask dale about that tomorrow. yay.

not much else to report, since i didn't really do anything else today. i need to do laundry and wash dishes, and be domestic tomorrow. i figure it should work out. hopefully i can get some of the stupid stat done. stupid stat.

the theory with the windshield is i'd like to find someone who knows what they're doing. also there's a slim possibility it'll be a warranty issue, since i don't think it should have cracked so much... but that's a bit of a stretch, as i have nothing to lose by asking, we'll see. i know other people got windshields because of stress cracks. anyway insurance will pay for it, so i'll probably just go with whoever the dealer reccomends to do it.

since we seem to be on the subject of sneakers, favourite part of current sneakers.
1. N monogram (there is an N in my name damnit)
2. the salt lines they always have
3. that i lose them all the time
4. that they're blue. like most of my other clothes
5. that they're patent pending and retro at the same time
6. that i've nearly worn of all the bottom tread since the summer

34.5 mpg + hi

well so its late. i got in a few hours ago but had to talk to mitch, clean up, shower etc, etc. you know the drill anyway. i had a great time in ny. i'll write more about it when i have time.

in a fit of bordem (i'm sure you were all bored as i didn't say anything for 1 1/2 weeks) i noticed someone had posted about my copenhagen chewing tobacco from october, i gather they found it in google, so i guess my site's now indexed, but only it an odd sort of way. anyway, i figured i'd check out the similar pages thing, which is amusing, though very logical based on the links, though i'm not sure about the NYTimes links.. look for yourself

on unrelated news, on the way back we stopped at a sheetz gas station, which had cheap gas (yay filling up for under $20 again!) and then for the rest of the drive (like 200 miles..) with an average speed of 67 or something, i got 34.5mpg! i was amazed. i think this could have to do with the gas (it was 92 octane, not my normal 93..) but i'm not sure. its all very confusing.

anyway, i have to get to sleep, and i'm sure you all want me to sleep well so i can write new quizzes and discuss the past 2 weeks for entertaiment value, so i should do that. mitch didn't do the damn stat, but say it will be easy if we work on it together because he just didn't know some small things. i'm scared. sorta like i'm scared of yoga training tomorrow... very much out of the swing of things, even if i did walk tons. mitch also wants to know if i want to run a 10K april 27th or something. eep! i told him i don't run. he said i could walk. i said i'd get back to him.

reasons i shouldn't run a 10k.
1. its like 6 something miles
2. they might confused it with 10,000 miles
3. i need to save my energy for the stay-pufft convention
4. mitch didn't do the stat, why should i do his damn run?
5. there's a reason i bought a car.
6. stupid car has cracked windshield, so i'll need to wait for it that weekend anyway while its getting replaced

tired

well i meant to update before, but eh, we fly out in 2 hours. and i'm damn tired. so i need to get ready to go to the airport.

i dono about updating, but i'll see what i can do. everyone have a good week, call me if you feel like it.

yay! doing something for spring break. boo being tired. double boo stat.

Quizlesness

Well I know I didn't have a quiz yesterday. I'm not sure if this matters, as no one said anything....

I forgot to write a bunch about rochester, but really, if you're that interested, and you weren't there, just ask me.

I brought up the dead moose effect in the case writeup i just finished (we'll ignore starting it at midnight, i swore i'd be more productive, yech.) (for those of you unformed, the dead moose is when something is obvious and problematic, but no one will mention it because they're afraid of it)

i really should write more, but unfortunately i'm tired, and i have class in 7 hours, as well as a small pile of work to do tomorrow. on the upside, the stat for today was postponed until wednesday, so i may be able to get that done in time, at least if i do it after class tomorrow. because you know, i still have to squeep together a presentation and a report with my group. (at least group work is easier)

not much else.

favourite blue man group things:
1. alternative to enya to do homework to
2. they're always in vegas
3. oddly amusing blueness
4. smurf memories
5. randomness of quizzes on them
6. that all the songs sound the same, but not exactly

more updates

well i need a second entry, so i can keep track of the days. this isn't helpful.

i don't have much else to say. reefi may actually get a job, which is good for him, but annoying for me. suposedly alcoa will be giving him an offer this week, and otherwise he looks quasi-promising with a few companies. blah

i'm sure i'll find something else in the middle of the day to update here, so you can stay updated. like that i have leftover pattisere (damn french) from wegs to eat for dessert! very exciting i know. and very beatup after some quick turns on the way home. thus you know, not presentable, so i need to eat them all.

UPDATE:
I said I'd update, so I shall... i guess its good i updated on the weekend, not exactly stellar updates, so quality should be an important factor.

so mitch and i did stat. now i just need to figure out how to do the stat that is due today, as we only did last weeks. and we have a case writeup due tomorrow, a under 10 page paper, a presentation, and some other random crap. a 2-3 page paper oh, and i leave for vegas in what, 38 hours? eek!

that's been the excitement of the day. and i'm tired too. blah!

I'm back

Well, so uneventful trip back. we didn't do anything interesting today. yesterday was finished up by a trip to phillips. the car passed 14,000 miles, which isn't actually that exciting, but still worth putting up here, in some vague way.

i'm tired. we kept waking up too damn early. blah. well, by we, jen + and i. some people felt the need to sleep 13 hours and not answer their cell phones, but shall remain nameless.

today's mitch's birthday. exciting for him! lauren gave him a moose. it has leopard print antlers. i think this may be unhealthy cross-breeding.

well i know this is short, but eh.

mitch + reefi suposedly worked on the stat some! this is great news. i'll have to work more tomorrow for obvious reasons. stupid stat.

unknown perk of microtel hotels:
1. scenic view of tim hortons
2. easy to find room, courtest of non-existant maps and corridors that are way longer then expected
3. 'money saving' safe comes with $1/night fee, that is refundable
4. paper in rooms not actually paper. instead odd ripstop vinyl that looks like paper, but is manufacturered by polyone
5. automatically celebrates mitch's birthday
6. bedspread 10% less nasty then in a hotel that is $200/night

Rochester Updates

So I'm back in CLARC which of course is renamed, which of course I wish to ignore. Anyway, and Using an eMac, which is too damn white for my preferences. anyway. i dono when they do ID checks around here, but I figure probably not 30 min before closing, and probably I can convince them I graduated. anyway.

so uhh, went to the concert last night, was going to go to the orchestra concert tonight, but just didn't feel up to it. i think i have a headache. very exciting i'm sure you know.

i went to nick's. i'm not sure if jen liked it or not. i'll have to wait and see her blog. it'll be exciting for both of us. i forgot to get blood orange juice at wegs. this is very sad, but i may go back, so then i can. i also of course need to go back so i can pickup the pocki that i was going to get for lauren. so many things to do. ok 2, i guess that isn't very many. whatever. you get the idea.

i dono when i go to vegas how i'm going to update. this is rather sad, since i've been pretty good about updating so often. maybe mitch's cousin will have wireless? eh, i should check on that, you never know how things are going to work.

the refresh on this monitor sucks! its either 60 or 75Hz and is pissing the hell out of me. ok, enough of that excitement.

i survived the id check. which of course was 5 minutes late, and was just a body count. much simplier.

so uhh i need a quiz. i think:

reasons my headache is annoying:
1. because i think i already had a headache quiz
2. its caused by my not knowing what i want for my birthday
3. i need to figure out how to get a job, without getting 100 more can cozies for jody. fortunately TOM has some apple ones. so i can give her one of those.
4. oh, back to quiz... uhh need to find something to do on a saturday night
5. well i was going to think of other options. but you know, its just not the same if i'm not happily sitting in my room. i think its the sheep?
6. because as has always been the case, the damn lights in the lab are flickering. ugh!
